Pitch win: The eSports Company will now realize the TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga as well as the first VBL Club Championship - The German Championship in eFootball
The eSports Company, part of the marketing consultancy Gallafilz GmbH, was named the lead agency for the TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga and is responsible for the implementation of the next eFootball events in the 2018/19 season, organized by Electronic Arts (EA) and the DFL German Football League (DFL)
In Munich, on November 19th, 2018, The eSports Company won the pitch and will now work to realize EA and DFL’s seventh season of the TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga (VBL). In addition, The eSports Company will also oversee the implementation of the first VBL Club Championship. This competition, in which only clubs of the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga will participate, has been launched by the DFL for the first time in the 2018/19 season, under the umbrella of the VBL. As the lead agency of the VBL, The eSports Company will be primarily responsible for the coordination of all online and offline match days, the conception and execution of events as well as tournament and player management.

As in previous seasons, the TAG Heuer Virtual Bundesliga is integrated as an online mode in the EA SPORTS FIFA 19 game. From December 2018 to February 2019, FIFA19 players can take part in the open competition, the VBL Open. The VBL Club Championship begins on 15 January 2019, in which clubs from the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga will participate. The VBL Playoffs will take place at the end of March 2019 where the best players from the VBL Open and the VBL Club Championship will play on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to compete for a place at the Grand Final, taking place from 11 to 12 May 2019. The Virtual Bundesliga is an Official League Partner within the FIFA 19 Global Series and has built a strong fan base.
