Franchising in esports means esports are here to stay

Esports has now hit franchising levels. Riot games has recently announced it’s North American League of Legends Championship Series (NA LCS) will be taking on a new and improved franchised model. An open application process will begin within 45 days, where esports business enthusiasts can apply to pay a pretty penny of $10 million USD to be a part of this growing business.

ReadyUp unveils platform for managing esports teams

ReadyUp a known business in California has just announced they will be opening a new platform to manage esports teams. Whether amateur or pro level the company wants teams to be able to focus on playing games rather than the business aspects others could be doing for them. The new platform will launch in the fall of 2017.

Asus ROG Masters 2017 eSports tournament announced

The ROG Masters 2017 esports tournament has been announced by Asus Republic of Gamers. This year the tournament will be played at a worldwide level and boast a prize pool of $500,000 USD. The company announced that the tournament will play host to 20 or more professional esports teams from around the world playing either Dota 2 MOBA or Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

BT Sport Enlists Attention Seekers to Produce Esports and Gaming TV Programming

Esports and gaming TV could soon become a regular household activity. Recent news announces BT Productions have signed an agreement with the Attention Seekers agency to create TV programs revolving around esports and gaming. The company admires the creative aspect Attention Seekers brings to the table and will hopefully provide us all with esports TV on a daily basis.
