DH MASTERS ASIA-OCEANIA CLOSED QUALIFIERS SET
8 teams are prepared to battle it out at the Dream Hack Masters Asia-Oceania closed qualifiers. The open qualifiers were played June 11th through June 18th in the five regions including Asia, Oceania, GCC, India and SEA and China. Throughout the open events 6 teams were qualified to then join TyLoo and Grayhound who were previously invited to the tournament.
KINGS UNVEIL NEW CS:GO ROSTER
Australian gaming continues to expand, as it is now being faced with a new Kings Gaming Club. Notable names such as former Winterfox player Chris “emagine” Rowlands, two members from ex-Tainted Minds, Jay “liazz” Tregillgas and Travis “wizard” Richardson will help propel the team to the top levels they are hoping to reach.
Nintendo wants to take a different approach to esports in the future
Nintendo has had much success with their newest system the Nintendo Switch. With this success they are now looking to once again gain access to the esports industry. The company wishes to make esports more mainstream and more massive than it has ever been before. As always Nintendo will put their own special twist on the already booming industry.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel to open Gamescom 2017
The head of the German government Angela Merkel has been announced to appear at Gamescom 2017 in Cologne. The organizers of the convention are thrilled by the announcement, stating “The visit of Dr. Merkel underlines the importance of the games industry for the cultural, digital and business location of Germany.” Said Felix Falk. It has not yet been announced what exactly the chancellor will be doing, but her appearance is exciting enough.
